Walking past the Scotia building in downtown Toronto yesterday, I noticed they were searching cars and running bomb sniffers along under carriages. Did something happen downtown to warrant this nonsense? There was nothing in the news.

Security guards are so nice. We had come in the morning to Ambi Mall using a Radio Taxi but in the evening all numbers were coming either busy or we were being told the next available taxi could only come 2 hours later so we made our way outside the mall hoping maybe there’d be some autorikshaws available outside. Immediately in front of the mall though there wasn’t anything but cars moving in and out of the basement parking which the guard was busy dealing with but he told us when we asked him where we could find transportation that he’d flag a taxi down for us if it passed him by – and poor guy, he did try once or twice. But when we had no luck with that he told us to go further ahead towards the entrance of Ambi Mall and ask the guards there – we did and one of them managed to get hold of someone who got hold of an autorikshaw for us. ♫ India re India very good very good, India waale also good also good
