The previous owner built the half wall and little desk. They’re quite convenient and add a bit of separation from the living room. And yes, this is our only dining area. There’s supposed to be an area on the other side of the half wall but it’s make the living room area quite crowded. Have I mentioned I hate the wallpaper?

I usually shop at a lighting store downtown but I went to a store near my house to see if they had anything different. I found out that the suburban store has way way way higher prices. But they do have a ton of displays. I snuck in and took photos of one of the lights I am considering for the dining room.

Kitchen/Dining Central Perk Renovation – Day 1: I’m going to restain these a Bombay mahagony. I did my bathroom already and it wasn’t too bad… but oh my, this is going to be a mess. Why on earth would someone choose orange for their stain anyway? Sure wasn’t me. Above the cabinets most of the baskets will go and be replaced by coffee house decor. Anybody got any?
