Sometimes it is only necessary to have 1 or 2 lamps in a 3-lamp fixture lit. This is a fixture in the safety building with only one lamp lit while the area is unoccupied. When possible, it is nice to have the electrical system done to allow 1 lamp to be controlled with one switch and 2 lamps with the other. Energy can be saved when only one or two bulbs is needed, and the flexibility is there when all three are needed.

Bamboo and handmade paper lamp #2

This is our second lamp, made of bamboo sticks and handmade paper. It has a bit different construction, regarding the light bulb fixture – in this lamp the bulb is sticking up from that big piece of bamboo at the base. In the first lamp the bulb was hanging down. Here’s the first one. This is the done lamp, lit in a dark room.

This wine bottle light fixture was a lucky find in downtown Seattle. You can’t really see in this photo, but the bottles are hanging in the window of a shop. Their bottoms have been removed and the tops are fitted with a cork-like object attached to some kind of support.
