Stage One: hook up tube receiver/amp, reel, 8-track recorder. listen to hot 97 and pulse 87 via dodgy fm reception in the bunker and tweak all the dials (which is much more fun than tweaking the equalizer in itunes).
Stage Two: integrate Stage One with extant turntables, mixer, cd changer, synth/midi board, digital receiver, shortwave and mac mini. come up with a better antenna hack, perhaps taking advantage of living in the tallest building in the neighborhood. start recording weird shit to tape on the reel. hack 8-track cassettes to play a continuous loop, and start a continuous feedback loop between the 8-track and reel.
Stage Three: save up for some carpet-covered 320w/8o speakers because listening through headphones gets annoying very quickly. this is a stereo quadrophonic amp, so id need 8 speakers and lord knows i aint made of money.
