Can light fixtures from foreign countries be installed and used in Canada/America?
Question by Hayzen: Can light fixtures from foreign countries be installed and used in Canada/America?
I’m currently in China now and saw how cheap some light fixtures and chandeliers are to buy here than in Canada/America. I was thinking of bringing them back with me so i can remodel my home. Can anyone tell me if these foreign light fixtures, chandeliers, etc, can be installed in my home in North America? I ask because I know the watts/volts are different so I’m not sure if they are usable or not.

Light fixtures need to be csa approved for Canada..safety first. I think their wiring is different, but I cannot definately say for sure.
